You can publish without an ISBN if:
- You’re only publishing an ebook on Amazon KDP (Amazon assigns its own ASIN)
- You’re selling directly from your website or as a private release
However, without an ISBN, your book won’t be listed in most bookstores, libraries, or global catalogs — and can’t be tracked or referenced by retailers.
