Interior layout (also called typesetting) is the process of designing how the inside of your book looks — page by page.

It includes:

  • Font selection and spacing
  • Chapter titles and page breaks
  • Margins, headers, footers, and running heads
  • Styling for quotes, images, footnotes, etc.

A well-typeset book feels polished and is easy to read. It’s also essential for meeting platform-specific print guidelines.
