An ebook cover is a flat, front-only image — usually JPEG or PNG.
A print cover is a full wrap: front, spine, and back — as a print-ready PDF.

Key differences:

  • Ebooks need to look good as thumbnails
  • Print covers must be sized to match trim size and page count
  • Print includes barcode space and back matter design

Each format serves a different purpose and must be created separately.
