If you’re self-publishing under your own name, you are the copyright holder by default.
But if you’re publishing under a company or imprint, the legal entity can hold the copyright.
Also, if you hire a ghostwriter and there’s no transfer agreement, they may hold the copyright.
Always clarify ownership through contracts or publishing agreements.
